“China still big chance for Korean companies: minister”
Finance Minister Hyun Oh-seok said, “the Saemangeum region will serve as a platform for South Korea’s advance into the Chinese market, which is undergoing what he called a “transition into a domestic demand-oriented market.”
“In order to accelerate the development of the Saemangeum area, the government will work hard to build necessary infrastructure including a seaport and a large-scale logistical complex that will help with exporting goods produced in the region.
“We are concerned about the slowing pace of China’s economic growth, but China still provides us with an opportunity considering its large-size market,” Hyun said at a meeting of businesspeople here.”
