On September 11th, 2025, from 14:00-16:30, a seminar on the project to restore habitat for the Eastern Taiga Bean Goose Anser (fabalis) middendorffii will be held in the Nakdong Estuary Eco Centre. This is the second of several proposed seminars looking at habitat restoration planned for this autumn and winter.
There will be presentations on the importance of the Lower Nakdong River for the Eastern Taiga Bean Goose – a flagship specialist species of floodplain wetlands linking several internationally important wetlands together (Upo, Junam, Hwapocheon, Busan Eco Parks and the Nakdong Estuary), given by Birds Korea National Director Nial Moores; on current management practices in the Maekdo Eco Park; on the science behind plant restoration, given by Professor Byun Chaeho; and on governance and planning issues and concepts, given by Land Aura CEO Oh Han-Na.
Presentations and follow-up discussion will (primarily) be in Korean.
