Thankfully in reality some of these sites are as yet undeveloped, but its obviously only a matter of time. After an hour at the southern roost site I was forced to quit as my scope has stopped working, however in that short time I saw the following:<\/p>\n<p><b>Eastern Spot-billed Duck<\/b>\u00a0<em>Anas zonorhyncha<\/em>\u00a0several pairs on the freshwater.<br \/>\n<b>Black-faced Spoonbill<\/b>\u00a0<em>Platalea minor<\/em>\u00a0Eight flew in from the mudflat.<br \/>\n<b>Striated Heron<\/b>\u00a0<em>Butorides striata<\/em>\u00a0A pair was hanging around the freshwater outlet then flew over the sea when the tide came in.<br \/>\n<b>Grey Heron<\/b>\u00a0<em>Ardea cinerea<\/em>\u00a0Four or five.<br \/>\n<b>Great Egret<\/b>\u00a0<em>Ardea alba modesta<\/em>\u00a0Several on the freshwater.<br \/>\n<b>Intermediate Egret<\/b>\u00a0<em>Egretta intermedia<\/em>\u00a0One.<br \/>\n<b>Chinese Egret<\/b>\u00a0<em>Egretta eulophotes<\/em>\u00a0One over the mudflat.<br \/>\n<b>Great Cormorant<\/b>\u00a0<em>Phalacrocorax carbo<\/em>\u00a0Five on the sea and the freshwater.<br \/>\n<b>Little Ringed Plover<\/b>\u00a0<em>Charadrius dubius<\/em>\u00a0A breeding pair on the freshwater.<br \/>\n<b>Black-tailed Gull<\/b>\u00a0<em>Larus crassirostris<\/em>\u00a0500+, mostly immatures. This species seems to need freshwater for bathing.<br \/>\n<b>Eurasian Magpie<\/b>\u00a0<em>Pica pica<\/em>. Two.<br \/>\n<b>Eurasian Tree Sparrow<\/b>\u00a0Passer montanus.
