Bird News from Andreas Kim<\/strong><\/p>\n

Since the shorebirds arrived, 1-2 visits to the site every day is for checking on leg-flagged birds. today 47\u00a0Bar-tailed Godwit<\/strong>\u00a0were present, among them orange leg-flagged\u00a03V<\/strong>. This individual was banded in January 2011 and seen on the site and the neighboring Aphae Island (c. 16km away) in 2011 and 2012 (http:\/\/www.birdskorea.org\/Habitats\/Wetlands\/Mokpo\/BK-HA-Mokpo-Flagrecords.shtml#MFR2011<\/a>;http:\/\/www.birdskorea.org\/Habitats\/Wetlands\/Aphaedo\/BK-HA-Aphaedo-Flagrecords.shtml#MFR2011<\/a>). About 50\u00a0Dunlin<\/strong>, 30+\u00a0Kentish Plover<\/strong>, c. 20\u00a0Little Ringed Plover<\/strong>, 5\u00a0Red-necked Stint<\/strong>, 2\u00a0Grey Plover<\/strong>\u00a0and 1\u00a0Great Knot<\/strong>were seen. But the highlight was a single\u00a0Little Stint<\/strong>, a vagrant to Korea with very few records.<\/p>\n

The number of ducks and gulls still the same like two days before, only the Ruddy Shellduck was not seen anymore.<\/p>\n
