With three hours until sunset (6:34pm), I spent my time near the reed beds of the most upstream portion of the park. Birds seen include <strong>Pallas&#8217;s Reed Bunting<\/strong>, <strong>Common Reed Bunting<\/strong>, <strong>Meadow Bunting<\/strong>, 50-100 <strong>Buff-bellied Pipit<\/strong>, <strong>Dusky Thrush<\/strong> (23 in one flock; a few in flight at dusk, calling), 2 <strong>Japanese Quail<\/strong>, 2 <strong>Great Spotted Woodpecker<\/strong> and 1 <strong>White-backed Woodpecker<\/strong>, many <strong>Eastern Great Tit<\/strong>, many <strong>Tree Sparrow<\/strong>, and hundreds of <strong>Vinous-throated Parrotbills<\/strong>. Waterfowl include <strong>Eurasian Teal<\/strong>, <strong>Northern Shoveler<\/strong>, <strong>Gadwall<\/strong>, <strong>Eurasian Wigeon<\/strong>, <strong>Coot<\/strong>, <strong>Eastern Spot-billed<\/strong>, and <strong>Mallard<\/strong>. By sunset, many birds had taken flight and the reeds were quiet.
