We saw none, but found solace in at least 4 <strong>White-tailed Sea Eagles<\/strong>, one very handsomely flecked white on the shoulders, and some variety (but rather small numbers) of waterfowl: <strong>Goldeneye, Spot-billed Duck, Common Merganser, Bean Goose, Whooper Swans, Tufted Duck,<\/strong> <strong>Pochard<\/strong> and <strong>Common Teal<\/strong>. Also small numbers of <strong>Little<\/strong> and <strong>Great Crested Grebes<\/strong>, at least 50 <strong>Great Cormorants<\/strong>, a <strong>Common Buzzard<\/strong>. We heard <strong>Long-tailed<\/strong> and <strong>Marsh Tits<\/strong> and saw a <strong>Japanese Wagtail<\/strong>.<br \/>\nNext stop (after much stop and go traffic) was the Oksu-Eungbong stretch of the Han river, along the stream. Highlights were (again, small numbers overall) <strong>Mandarin Ducks<\/strong> (7), <strong>Tufted Ducks<\/strong>, <strong>Common Pochards<\/strong>, <strong>Pintails, Shovelers<\/strong> and <strong>Spot-billed Ducks<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.birdskoreablog.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/shovels-AP9F9256.jpg\" rel=\"prettyPhoto[17767]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.birdskoreablog.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/shovels-AP9F9256-1024x659.jpg\" alt=\"shovels AP9F9256\" width=\"690\" height=\"444\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-17768\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.birdskoreablog.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/shovels-AP9F9256-1024x659.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.birdskoreablog.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/shovels-AP9F9256-150x97.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.birdskoreablog.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/shovels-AP9F9256-300x193.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px\" \/><\/a>.<br \/>\n     Shovelers <em>Anas Clypeata<\/em> \u00a9Robin Newlin<br \/>\nLight snow flurries shortly after we arrived quickly turned into heavy precipitation&#8211;accompanied by thunder(!).
