Bird news from Subhojit Chakladar and Marco Della Seta<\/p>\n

A boat trip off the coast of Daejin over very calm seas and relatively mild temperatures produced some very close and satisfying views. Highlights included thousands of gulls, 8 Brunnich’s Murres<\/strong>, 4 Common Murres<\/strong>, ~12 Rhinoceros Auklets<\/strong>, 1 Spectacled Guillemot<\/strong>, 800~1000 Ancient Murrelets<\/strong>, low numbers of Loons (almost all of them Arctic<\/strong>), along with occasional flocks of White-winged Scoters<\/strong> and about 6 American Scoters<\/strong> in flight from the shore.<\/p>\n
