Bird News from Patrick Blake, Jason Loghry, and Jang Jiung<\/p>\n

I spent an enjoyable weekend birding with Mr. Jason Loghry and Mr. Jang Jiung at several locations in the Busan area. The weather turned against us, with both days having considerable wind out of the west, which kept many birds hunkered down. Nevertheless, we still managed to find some migrant species around.<\/p>\n

Highlights included:<\/p>\n

Peregrine Falcon<\/strong>, Pallas’s Reed Bunting<\/strong>, Far Eastern Cisticola<\/strong>, Chinese Penduline Tit<\/strong> and Eurasian Spoonbill<\/strong> along the Nakdonggang on the afternoon of April 19.<\/p>\n

Stejneger’s Stonechat<\/strong>, Blue Rock Thrush<\/strong>, Grey-backed Thrush<\/strong>, Grey Thrush<\/strong>, Japanese Robin<\/strong>, Blue-and-white Flycatcher<\/strong>, and Narcissus Flycatcher<\/strong> at Taejongdae Park on the morning of April 20.<\/p>\n

Black Kite<\/strong>, Asian Brown Flycatcher<\/strong>, Narcissus Flycatcher<\/strong>, Asian Stubtail<\/strong>, Eastern Crowned Warbler<\/strong>, Pale-legged Leaf Warbler<\/strong>, and a very probable Sakhalin Leaf Warbler<\/strong> at Igidae Park on the afternoon of April 20.<\/p>\n

A total of 57 species were observed.<\/p>\n
