  3. Red-necked Phalarope<\/b>\u00a0Phalaropus fulicarius;\u00a0<\/i>11 from the ferry between Mara and Gapa<\/li>\n
  4. Black-tailed Gull<\/b>\u00a0Larus crassirostris<\/i><\/li>\n
  5. Pacific Swift<\/b>\u00a0Apus Pacificus<\/i><\/li>\n
  6. Eurasian Magpie<\/b>\u00a0Pica pica<\/i><\/li>\n

    Back on southwestern Jeju, I encountered groups of 12-20\u00a0Red-flanked Bluetails<\/b>\u00a0at 4 different patches of coastal woods.\u00a0 There were more males in the mix compared to Mara, and they were all feeding on sunny paths at forest edges.\u00a0 Also notable on \u2018mainland Jeju, one\u00a0Japanese Quail<\/b>, and a group of shorebirds made up of nine\u00a0Kentish Plover<\/b>, two\u00a0Dunlin<\/b>, and one\u00a0Red-necked Stint<\/b>.\u00a0 Nearby, another\u00a0Brown-headed Thrush<\/b>\u00a0was heard, and aWhite\u2019s Thrush<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0personata<\/i><\/b>\u00a0Black-faced Bunting<\/b>\u00a0were seen.<\/p>\n

    On Saturday April 5th<\/sup>, in spite of a full day of birding in the hills, the most notable birds were encountered before I got out of bed – two groups of\u00a0Ashy Minivets<\/b>\u00a0flew past my window during the early morning, heading towards Halla Mountain.<\/p>\n
