Bird News from Andreas Kim<\/strong><\/div>\n

While passing the wetland in the morning short after high-tide a short stop was made to look for shorebirds. While the water, the floating platforms and most of the already free mud-flat areas were populated with\u00a0Eastern Spot-billed Duck<\/b>\u00a0(c. 80),\u00a0Eurasian Wigeon<\/b>\u00a0(c. 40),\u00a0Eurasian Teal<\/b>\u00a0(c. 15), a handful of\u00a0Gadwall<\/b>\u00a0and a flock of c. 40-50\u00a0Black-headed Gull<\/b>\u00a0mixed with a few\u00a0Black-tailed Gull<\/b>, in one corner 4\u00a0Bar-tailed Godwit<\/b>, 9\u00a0Kentish Plover<\/b>\u00a0and 3Dunlin<\/b>\u00a0were found. On one platform also seen one\u00a0Great Cormorant<\/b>, one\u00a0Grey Heron<\/b>\u00a0and one\u00a0Common Gull<\/b>.<\/p>\n

The infilling of the area P2 is operated at a high pace and so large areas are disturbed.<\/p>\n

From distance looked at the area P3 showed a large flock of c. 300 larger Gulls, most likely like the days beforeBlack-tailed<\/b>\u00a0and\u00a0Vega<\/b>.<\/p>\n
