The water must have been very cold, as most of the old stems of the lotus plants had little ice rosettes. Estimated numbers of birds seen are: c. 1500+\u00a0<b>Taiga Bean Geese<\/b>, c. 100\u00a0<b>Whopper Swans<\/b>, c. 50\u00a0<b>Eurasian Teal<\/b>, c. 30\u00a0<b>Mallard<\/b>, several\u00a0<b>Eurasian Coot<\/b>, 2\u00a0<b>Great Egret<\/b>\u00a0and 1\u00a0<b>Grey Heron<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"https:\/\/www.birdskoreablog.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/02\/Old-Lotus-with-ice_AK.jpg\"
