Bird News from Robin Newlin
A morning trip to Gyeyangsan in warm, clear weather. Few migrants in evidence: highlights included a Scaly Thrush (holding what looked like nesting material), a couple of Great Spotted Woodpeckers, a Japanese Pygmy Woodpecker, a Eurasian Jay, a Brown-eared Bulbul building a nest (bringing straw, placing straw, mashing straw down by sitting on it) a pair of Pale Thrushes, ubiquitous Vinous-throated Parrotbills, a Tristram’s Bunting (with perhaps a second heard) and the resident Eastern Great and Marsh Tits.
