Birds News from Jason Loghry with Matt Poll and Heloise Stankard

After another night of heavy rain, we headed back to Taejongdae to spend a couple of hours looking for migrants. There were still no signs of the thrush species we were hoping for but we did find one of our target species, Japanese Robin. In fact, we found three! Other highlights of the morning include Eurasian Hoopoe, close encounters with Eurasian Wren, a lone Brambling, Pale Thrush, and Stejneger’s Stonechat. There was a report (blogged) of Japanese Robin (1) observed at Taejongdae on April 4.
